Mitsubishi Pajero J-Top convertible
The Pajero J-Top (convertible with canvas roof and front sunroof) was manufactured from 1991 to 1999 based on the second generation Pajero, short wheel base version.
Available with two different petrol and two different diesel turbo engines throughout its life, the J-top also received an optional rear diff lock, and Mitsubishis Super Select 4WD system allowing 2WD and high and low range 4WD modes. Electronically controlled suspension and on later models a push button 40mm hydraulic suspension lift mechanism were also optionally available, and as well as the factory electric sunroof and rear canvas roof all models also featured a factory rear roll cage.

V23C chassis type, 3.0L petrol 6G72 engine with 136kW (185hp). Manual only.

V24C chassis type, 2.5L turbo diesel 4D56 engine with 77kW (105hp) . Manual only. The 2.5L turbo models featured a 5.285 ratio final drive ratio, the highest available for all Pajeros.

V25C chassis type, introduced in 1994. 3.5L petrol 6G74 engine with 189kW (230hp) and received wider fenders. Available in auto or manual transmission. Power windows and central locking standard, driver's airbag optional.

V26C chassis type, introduced in 1997. 2.8L turbo diesel 4M40 engine with 104kW (140hp). Available in auto or manual transmission. In 1997 JS was also available in V23C chassis with 3.0L petrol engine again. JS received dual airbags and ABS as standard.
