Toyota Aristo JZS161

customer feedback

2014 Mitsubishi Delica D:5 (new at the time)

The car is now registered here in the NT and everything seems fine.

Thank you for your professional, articulate and knowledgeable service over the past eight months.

I probably should also comment about your website -it's really good - it's how all websites should be (in any field, not just imported cars).

When it comes time for me to get another grey import I hope you are still around.

Pics and info for:

Toyota Aristo (JZS161)

The JZS161 Toyota Aristo saw the continuation of Toyota putting their legendary 2JZ-GTE engine (the same 3.0L twin turbo power plant as found in the Supra) into a 4 door luxury sedan. Built from 1997 to 2004 the 160 series Aristos are sold in other markets as a Lexus GS model, though Japan was the only market to receive the 2JZ-GTE engine with 206kW output, now with VVT-i to provide more torque. All variants had a 4 speed automatic gearbox with steering wheel shift buttons. Rare Tom's versions were sold with an additional 50hp.

Safety equipment includes front and side airbags, ABS brakes, traction control, stability control and brake assist as standard. Power seats, power steering column, climate control and cruise control are standard, with leather and heated seats optional.

All 3.0L twin turbo models are eligible for import, non turbo S300 models are not.

The twin turbo variants include the V300 and V300 Vertex Edition, the latter having 17x8 inch chrome wheels, standard rear spoiler, chrome deleted black front grille surround, Vertex Edition stickers, black leather steering wheel and shift knob, dark woodgrain interior trim and black/grey cloth or black leather upholstery. There is also a 10th Anniversary edition with leather and woodgrain interior as standard.

There are also a few different named rarer and more expensive Tom's versions including the V300 Tom's, VA300 Tom's, and VA300 Tom's G, these cars had different front and rear bumpers, a different grille, Tom's gauges, different wheels, suspension, exhaust, computer and strut tower brace, with a maximum power output of 326hp.

The details provided here may vary for each vehicle, and J-Spec makes no claims as to the accuracy of this information.
