Mitsubishi Minicab MiEV

customer feedback

1989 Toyota Supra

I got the car started at the docks and ended up stopping by a Beaurepairs on the way home to pick up a new battery after heeling and toe-ing my way out of there to make sure she didnt stall. Overall though, the car is great. Engine seems well cared for, timing belt was changed a while back, turbo is responsive, no noises, all instruments and the gimmickry inside is operational and the car is pretty clean all over. the body is in great nick for its age, only 1 dent and only 2 paint blemishes.

So its gone well, hopefully by the end of next week it'll be complied and then on the road shortly after.

Thanks mate

Pics and info for:

Mitsubishi Minicab MiEV (U67V and U68V series)

The Minicab MiEV (Mitsubishi Electric Vehicle) is a plug in all electric vehicle aimed at inner city commerical use. With no petrol it's cheap to run, is small to fit into the tightest of spaces, makes almost no noise, and lack of vibration from a petrol engine means easier transport of delicate goods. The cargo area can transport 350kg (along with two occupants) with either a 2 seater or 4 seater version, with flip down rear seats to still allow for full cargo access.

Available with two battery sizes, the smaller 10.5kWh lithium-ion battery takes 4.5 hours to charge fully and just 15 minutes to fast-charge to 80 per cent, and has a range of 100km. The 16kWh lithium-ion battery version takes seven hours to charge fully and 35 minutes to fast-charge to 80 per cent, with a 150km range. It's an ideal solution for drivers who spend a lot of time stopped doing deliveries or sitting in traffic where no idling engine means no power use, or for the environmentally conscious who want zero emissions.

So quiet is the Minicab MiEV it has a switchable vehicle approaching alert system which warns pedestrians audibly that it is approaching at speeds under 25km/h. Drive modes are "D"rive, "Eco" which lowers peak power output to conserve energy, and "B" which increases regenerative braking power recovert. ABS brakes and traction control are standard, as are dual airbags and aircon.

Interior dimensions are 1825 (935) mm x 1370 (1360) mm x 1230 mm, the engine and battery are the same as that found in the locally available passenger Mitsubishi i-MiEV.
